BIO-1 Buzz
                                                                            November 2008

Dear Bio-1 Community,

Welcome to the November edition of the Bio-1 Buzz, our e-newsletter to keep you connected with news, events and programs throughout the Central New Jersey WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) Bio-1 region.  New Jersey Life Sciences Week 2008 is finally here!  We're very excited to dedicate this issue of the Buzz to highlight all of the wonderful events that will take place throughout the state.  As you'll read in the articles below, there will be events for the general public, events geared especially for students, events geared for prospective teachers and events featuring prominent female scientists. During Raritan Valley Community College’s BioTalent: Strategies for Regional Economic Growth, we'll hear the Governor’s official proclamation presented by David J. Socolow, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.  We're also proud to showcase all of the Bio-1 funded projects at a poster session at the BioTalent event.  The collaboration among educational institutions, students, and industry experts is truly a celebration of New Jersey’s contributions to the Bioscience industry, and there is something for everyone.

Visit our website www.bio-one.org and don’t forget to pass along the buzz.

Sincerely,
Mary Ellen Clark
Executive Director, WIRED Bio-1
