                                                                            March 2009

Dear Bio-1 Community,

Welcome to the March Bio-1 Buzz, our e-newsletter to connect you to the Central New Jersey WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) Bio-1 region’s activities.  This month, we celebrate Women's History Month by featuring Bio-1 projects which focus on women -- but not for women only!  Our spotlight this month is on Bio-1’s Governance Board member Barbara Zilinskas, a plant biologist and professor of biotechnology at Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.  For Grant Seekers, Bio-1 has issued a 4th Round Request for Proposal (for 3 projects) closing on April 17th.   For Job Seekers – please see our links below for several unique job opportunities available now!  Stay tuned as our newly updated website and Internship Matching portal will roll out shortly to connect you with even more employment opportunities.  Check out our Events and Programs section for many opportunities to help you grow and learn.

As always, please visit our website www.bio-one.org and don’t forget to pass along the buzz.

Sincerely,
Mary Ellen Clark
Executive Director, WIRED Bio-1
