BIO-1 Buzz
                                                                            November 2009

Dear Bio-1 Community,

Welcome to the November issue of the Bio-1 Buzz.   This month, we have been busy working on developing resources and information sessions for workers in our region affected by restructuring and mergers, to help them think through career, education and training options available.  If your organization has open positions, or resources for job seekers, such as networking organizations, training providers, community colleges and more, please let us know and we will add you to the network of resources.

Our Bio-1 Job Matching Website is the place to find New Jersey’s bioscience talent, please post job opportunities and resumes. http://bio-1.rutgers.edu/.

In this month’s Buzz we include a summary of tips and advice for job seekers from two NJ Life Sciences Week career events.

Whenever we find out about any of New Jersey's best kept secrets, we like to share them with you.  InfoAge is a new science center at Camp Evans in Wall, NJ.  And, a new course offered through AVTECH for a Certified Medical Lab Assistant (CMLA) will produce graduates with a complete package of skills, including office skills and a national lab certification.

We are continuing to post successful outcomes and deliverables made possible by the WIRED grant, including new curriculum modules for educators: http://www.bio-one.org/content/successful_outcomes.html. Please pass along the Buzz.

Sincerely,
Mary Ellen Clark
Executive Director, WIRED Bio-1
