BIO-1 Buzz
                                                                            December 2009

Dear Bio-1 Community,

Welcome to the December issue of the Bio-1 Buzz.   Congratulations to Don Shatinsky and the Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies (CCIT) for the renewal of their designation by the National Business Incubation Association -- Soft Landings International Incubator!  Don has been instrumental in bringing international interest to New Jersey and a key contributor to the Bio-1 leadership.  And congratulations to Rutgers on the new Master of Business and Science degree getting approved by the NJ Presidents' Council.  Read about a successful event where academic entrepreneurs from Rutgers, NJIT, Princeton and UMDNJ looking for seed money to finance a technology/start a company made speed pitches to venture capitalists and angel investors.

As always, there are many events posted and new jobs and candidates on our Bio-1 Job Matching Website.  This is the place to find New Jersey’s bioscience talent, please post job opportunities and resumes. http://bio-1.rutgers.edu/.   Look for the Career Tip of Month on the Bio-1 website. Please pass along the Buzz.

We wish you a wonderful holiday season, and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
Mary Ellen Clark
