Winter Science and Engineering Forum

Bio-1 is sponsoring the Winter Science and Engineering Forum in partnership with Rutgers Graduate School http://gsnb.rutgers.edu/science.  The Forum, developed for sophomore through senior science and engineering majors will provide an exciting day of workshops and science for undergraduates who want to explore opportunities for summer research internships and graduate school and careers.  Would you please pass along this information to students who may be interested in participating.  Faculty members are also welcome.

                Date: Thursday, January 14, 2010 (snow date Friday, January 15)
                Time: 10 am – 3 pm
                Location: Biomedical Engineering Building, Rutgers Busch Campus

The agenda includes:

  • Presentations by some of the summer and graduate program directors.
  • Panel discussion with current graduate students on what to expect in graduate school, admissions strategies, fellowship and funding.
  • Breakout sessions to help with personal statement preparation.
  • A Poster Session with information on interdisciplinary programs.
  • Plenty of time for networking among students and faculty.
